'Rahim Muslim Food was established in 1957, and is known for its Power Mee Rebus. Manned by second generation 63-year-old Mr Rahim and his daughter, the stall offers 3 dishes - Mee Rebus, Mee Soto and Satay. Their mee rebus is characterised by yellow noodles and thick chicken slices bathed in thick gravy, together with a touch of nutty satay gravy. Generous portions of chicken, bean sprouts, fried shallots, Begedil (potato patty), topped up with a smattering of coriander, fill a bowl of Mee Soto to the brim. Adding their homemade chilli can add a delightful punch. Their satay is also a must-try. Each stick is generously filled, charcoal-grilled to a beautiful reddish-brown. Charred edges complement the tender, succulent meat chunks, making each bite fulfilling. One can never get enough of their flavourful noodles and satay!
